Chant Forge

In this world, magic is both a blessing and a curse. Only a select few can develop the ability to use magic. Even less so to hone it to such a degree to be called a mage. However, power on the scale of magic does not come cheap. The more a person uses magic, the more their memories start to fade.

Elias is one of those people. A mage since his youth, the constant use of magic has corroded his memories, leaving a hole. Every since the memory loss started, Elias tried everything he could to rediscover his past and the things he's forgotten. However, it was to no avail.

Eventually deciding to retire from mage work, Elias settled down in a quiet town, putting his past behind as he found himself enjoying life as a normal man. But one day, the town Captain informs him about a shift in the forest - an unnatural one. Requesting his help to investigate, Elias decides to lend his freelance support to bring solace over the town.

However, what Elias didn't know was that his past had come to reveal itself, and it wasn't going to take no for an answer.

Inspired by the fantasy genre, magic systems, and voice controller games, "Chant Forge" takes you on a magical journey through a hand-crafted, low-poly landscape. Step into the shoes of Elias, a retired mage, and journey around on a quest to uncover a mystery of a past that seems to have caught up with him. From the flush forests to the damp dungeons and freezing mountains, continue on the path and fight against monsters, casting magic all by using your voice! Kill monsters, collect gold, open chests, return to town to buy items from the shop, and make your way to the end.

A STORY OF REDISCOVERY. Uncover a gripping mystery about Elias' past as you continue through the game, slowly putting pieces together until it is revealed and you can confront it once and for all.

A VOICE CONTROLLED SYSTEM. Cast magic with nothing but your voice. Speak the activation words into a microphone corresponding to what spell you want to cast. Assuming you have enough mana, watch the magic come to life in the game.

LARGE AND COMPLEX MAGIC SYSTEM. Pick and choose from 9 different spells to choose from, each with their own handful of activation words. Pick and choose which combinations are most efficient for your situation, and be sure to experiment to see what monsters are weak to what magic spell.

MULTIPLE HAND-CRAFTED ENVIRONMENTS. Explore, continue the story, and fight monsters across three hand-crafted maps. Be sure to leave no stone unturned to find and open chests that can contain some extra special items.
