What's in the Wok?!

A simple cooking game combining the Genre "Puzzle" and the Verb "Smell"!

Walking through your city’s Chinatown, you notice a large billboard that catches your attention: a high-stakes culinary challenge where you have to cook full dishes while blindfolded. The prize? A secret. On a whim and going off curiosity, you sign up.

Now, vision darkened, you stand in a small kitchen setup. Ingredients to your left, a station to plate and serve to your right, and a steaming hot wok directly in front of you. The rules were simple. You’re given a recipe and tasked with gathering ingredients and cooking the dish to perfection with the goal of cooking it to perfection while blindfolded. The problem? You don’t know where the ingredients are, nor can you see how finished the dish is. The challenge starts as you fumble around, sniffing each item to try and identify the ingredients, making sure what you’re putting in the wok is correct to satisfy the mouths of the waiting judges. The pressure mounts.

…Wait, What’s in the Wok again?

Inspired by titans in the cooking game genre like the Papa Louie series, Cooking Mama series, and Cook! Serve! Delicious! series, What's in the Wok?! takes the core concepts of collecting ingredients, combining them into the correct dish, and serving and adds it's own twist: you can't see squat! Use your sense of smell, make educated or uneducated guesses, and go with your gut as you guess which ingredient is what and hope that the finished dish isn't wrong or another dish entirely.

A COOKING EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER. Other games in the genre may show you where everything is, leaving you to simply see and choose, but not in What's in the Wok?!. In your pitch black world inside the blindfold, all you know is where the ingredients are and where your wok is located. From there, it's a guessing game of whether you can decipher which is what.

DELICIOUS CHINESE FOOD. The theme of this cooking competition you find yourself in? Chinese! Pick out your ingredients in hopes of correctly making the right Chinese dish that the judge is asking for. Will your dish end up being a delicious plate Chicken & Onion Stir-Fry? Or will it end up being a slurp-tastic serving of Wok-Fried Noodles with Chicken & Egg? Perhaps a warm, hearty bowl of Tofu "Egg Drop" Noodle Soup? There's only one way to find out...
