A downloadable game for Windows

As one of the most legendary and highest-ranking adventurers of all time, countless tales about you have been spoken. No person does not know of your name or your deeds. However, this wasn't enough for you. While tales about you will be told for decades to come, you believed none will outlast the test of time. No tale could withstand centuries - even millennia.

Thus, you picked up your trusty sword and staff to partake in one last commission: conquering a legendary dungeon infamous for being unconquerable. Many before you have attempted to topple it - yet none of them have returned. Conquering the towering building and uncovering the fate of these adventurers would surely cement your name in history.

However, you notice a strange power lurking within the dungeon once you step through the doors. The spirits of the previous adventurers have seeped into the monsters roaming its many halls. You discover your spirit has been bound to the dungeon, preventing you from leaving. You find yourself stuck in a loop, returning to the moment you walk into the dungeon whenever you succumb to the monsters. You're close to giving up. You don't know how many deaths it will take before becoming a monster like the others - but you don't plan on finding out.

Defy your Fate. Ascend to Legacy.

Inspired by the souls-like and roguelike genres, Spiritbound is a difficult 2D Pixel-Art Dark Fantasy roguelike. Explore and traverse through an infamous dungeon floor by floor with the goal of reaching and defeating the dungeon's boss to escape. Use your sword and staff to unleash devastating melee and ranged attacks onto enemies. Clear floors and ascend them to choose and unlock new elemental spells to help aid you in your battles.

A DIFFICULT ROGUELIKE EXPERIENCE.
Spiritbound takes the difficulty of soulslikes and fuses them with elements of roguelikes. With a heavy focus on combat, expect to fight anything that moves. Beware, as there are minimal healing sources and dying will cause the loop to reset, leaving you back at the beginning with nothing from your previous run. The monsters want you dead. Don't let them get what they want.

CHANNEL THE POWER OF THE ELEMENTS.
Power up your weapons after clearing a floor. Choose a spell to learn, channelling the elements from Fire to Lightning, Holy to Dark. Infuse them into your sword or staff to gain special abilities to assist you in combat or protection. From summoning a falling star to calling upon the Gods for protection to choosing to forgo these spells, craft a playstyle that caters to you.

KILL. LEVEL. STRENGTHEN.
Fight the monsters lurking within the dungeon. Defeat them and collect their spirits. The more monsters defeated, the more spirits gained, and the more you can level up. Absorb their spirits and feel their energy run through you, increasing your character stats like health and defence.
